TERTRE DAUGAY owes its name to its privileged location. In fact, in the Middle Ages an observation tower raised there: like this, the "Saint-Emilionnais" (inhabitants of Saint-Emilion) was warned of all muggings. The "TERTRE du GUET" (lookout butte), such as a watch on a vines sea, sits up the Château fame from centuries.

Since 1978, the Count Léo de Malet Roquefort has never ceased to set to rights and to improve vineyard and cellar while preserving a huge part of the old vines stock essentials to the great wines quality. In certain parcels, we still find some centennial vines stock whereof the fruits receive their richness from many meters depth. From that time, the Château Tertre Daugay never stops confirming its up progression
